Quick update while doing laundry

Fog is rolling down the hill

Hi! It’s been a while when I wrote here but for some special circumstance ( no internet) I even could not inform about myself. But now I am in laundry place and they have free Wi-Fy so I am doing 2 things at the same time Ha! I moved for a while in Alameda small cozy town near by San Francisco. We moved on Halloween night so it was a lot of packing and cleaning couple days before Haloween and we were not thinking about costumes and celebration of it at all. But anyway in that evening I got wasted from couple double Jagermeister shots (so much easier to get drunk when you are soooOoo tired) so my Halloween costume was just simply drunk Martyna.

In these couple weeks so many things happened in USA, hurricane Sandy, president elections and other small things. But what happened for me? I had a blast visiting different places:

Mount Diablo. Elevation 3,864 ft (1,178 m). It is so amazing to be so high when everything looks so small and can see far far away;
The Sunol Regional Wilderness – a regional park in Alameda County. We had a SMALL hike of 3,30hours and 13 km length according to my step counter on ipod. And around 5km it was all the way up to the mountain in one of the hottest days ( I think I never sweet so much and have never been so salty yes, yes, I licked my self). I was dead after and my feet hurt because I was wearing bad shoes it was pleasant walk. And I saw real tarantula! I was afraid to meet another friend so called rattle snake, but this friend did not show up while we were walking and I am very happy about that.
The Sutro Baths – were a large, privately owned swimming pool complex in San Francisco, California, built in the late 19th century. The building housing the baths burned down in 1966 and was abandoned. It is wonderful place just by the ocean.
Painted steps –The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps project has been a neighborhood effort to create a beautiful mosaic running up the risers of the 163 steps located at 16th and Moraga in San Francisco.
Treasure island – is an artificial island in the San Francisco Bay between San Francisco and Oakland. We went there twice a day in the day time and in the evening I wanted to come back in the evening as then you can see all San Francisco at night!!!
Open galleries at night in Oakland – I found in one website that in one night a lot of art galleries will be open in Oakland so we went there.

Labas! Praėjo šiek tiek laiko ir vėl kada paskutinį kartą rašiau, bet dėl tam tikrų priežasčių ( nėr interneto) aš niekaip kitaip negalėjau informouoti apie save. Bet šiuometu skalbiuosi darbužius viešoje skalbykloje kur yra nemokamas internetas ir skubu rašyti kol neišsikrovė kompiuteris. Atlieku du darbis vienu metu ! HA! Šiuom etu laikinai gyvenu Alameda miestelyje, tai nedidelis, bet labai jaukus miestas šalia San Francisco. Mes persikėlėm į Alameda Haloweeno naktį, tad buvo daug pakavimo, tvarkymosi ir valymo ir galvoti apie kostiumus ir kaip švesim Haloweeną nebuvo progos. Bet galiausiai tą vakrą apsilankėmė bare ir man jau galva sukosi nuo kelių dvigubų Jagermeister šotų ( labai paprasta prigert kai esi taip labai pavargęs) tad mano kostiumas buvo tiesiog apsvaigusi Martyna.

Per paskutines kelias savaite tiek daug visko nutiko Amerikoje, Sandy audra apsilankė vienoje pakrantėję, prezidento rinkimai ir visa kitą. O ką aš veikiau per tas kelias savaites? Aš aplankiau kelias naujas vietas:

Diablo ( Velnio) kalnas – 3,864 pėdų arba 1,178 metrų aukščio. Tai nepakartojamas jausmas būti taip aukštai kai viskas aplink atsiveria kaip ant delno ir gali matyti tolių tolius.
Sunol Regioninis parkas/džiunglės- tai regioninis parkas Alameda apygardoje. Mes turėjome mažą žygį kur nuėjome apie 13 kilometrų ir visa tai užtruko apie 3. 30 h. Negana to apie 5 km teko kopti stačiai į kalną,plius tai buvo viena iš karštesnių dienų ir kopiant aplink jokio pavėsio net nesimatė ( man rodos niekad taip daug neprakaitavau lyžtelėjau save buvau laaabai suri ). Buvau tokia nuvargusi po visko, o kojos tiesiog degė nes basutės pritrynė padus. Bet aš pamačiau gyvą tarantulą ! Taip pat buvo daug įspėjamųjų ženklų, kad saugotis barškuolių gyvačių, bet šitos mielos draugės nesutikau ir dėl to pakanakamai džiaugiaus.
Sutro vonios – tai buvo didžiulis privatus baseinų kompleksas San Franciske 19 amžiuje, bet deje po gaisro 1966 metais viskas liko apleista ir griuvėsius galima aplankyti iki dabar. Tai tiesiog nuostabi vieta šalia vandenyno.
Treasure island – dirbtinė sala San Francisko įlankoje, tarp san Francisko ir Oakland. Mes nuvykome ten du kartus dieną ir naktį. Naktį iš ten atsivėrė nuostabi naktinio San Francisko panorama.
Galerijos naktį Okalande – vienoje internetinėje svetainėje užtikau, kad vieną naktį Okland mieste daug galerijų bus atidarytos ir vyks įvairios parodos tad nusprendėme ir tenai apsilankyti.
