Copenhagen – Cambridge – London

Kada? Gegužės 26-30 d.

Na ką tęsiu savo keliones po pasaulį ar bent jau po Europą. Šį kartą neiškentusi ilgesio ir liūdesio patraukiau į Angliją lankyti savo -iausios draugės. Praėjo nei daug nei mažai laiko kai nesimatėme t.y. nuo Naujųjų metų kai juos sutikome Olandijoje! Pasimėiau darbe dvi laisvas dienas t.y. penktadienį ir pirmadeinį. Bilietai  kaip tik su EasyJet pigesni tomis dienomis pasitaikė! Baigusi darbą skuodžiu namo su dideliausia šypsena ir drugeliais pilve. Kad jau tuoj tuoj…busiu Anglijoje. Tiesa, dėl nelemto ugnikalnio išsiveržimo teko erzintis pora dienų dėl reiso atšaukimo, bet viskas praėjo sklandžiai.
~ 23.30h aš jau Anglijos oro uoste. Mane pasitinka draugės tėtis. Susitikusi su drauge netvėriau kailyje ir labai džiaugiausi. Mane kaip karo belaisve sočiai pamaitino bulvių koše su kepta vištiena. Buvo NEPAKARTOJAMA. Apie bulvių košę svajojau taip ilgai. Ilgai nevakarojom, nes ateinančios dienos nusimatė aktyvios tad patraukėme miegoti.

So, I am continuing my trips around all over the world or at least in Europe. This time I couldnt take no more and from sadness I went to visit my best friend in England. I haven’t seen her since New Year’s celebration  when we met in Holland! I took two days off Friday and Monday in my workplace as flight tickets with Easy Jet on these days were much cheaper. After the job on Thursday I went as fast as i could home to finish packing my things and with big smile and butterflies in stomach left to airport. By the way, before flight few days ago I was stressed out because of active volcano some flights were delayed but everything went fine. 
Around 23.30 I landed in London Stansted airport. Father of my friend picked me. When I met my friend the joy and happiness was spread all over. Friend made dinner for me backed chicken and mash potatoes  that was AMAZING. I was dreaming about mashed potatoes for such a long time. We didn’t saty long on that nigh as we knew next days be full of activities.

Kadangi draugė gyvena netoli Kembridžo visą penktadienį praleidome ten. Tai buvo diena kai leidau sunkiai uždirbtus pinigus .Kam? Ogi visokiom šmutkėm 😀 Nebučiaus moteris. O ir šiaip praktiškai žiūrint Anglijoje daug kas kainuoja žymiai pigiau nei Danijoje, tad kodėl nenušovus dviejų zuikių vienu šūviu. Užsipirkau ūkiškai, lyg galėtų atrodyti, kad Danijoje tikrai nieko neparduoda ir žmonės iš vis nežino kas yra per daiktas rūbų parduotuvė.

Since my friend lives close to the Cambridge city we spent all Friday there as it is worth to see it. Friday was the day when I spent my hard earned money. For what? Of course for all kind of stuff. As I am woman. But looking from one point in England most of the things cost cheaper than in Denmark. It was great opportunity to see the city and to do shopping at the same time. I bought so many things as it could look that in Denmark people do not have any shops.

Šitoje nuotraukoje iš tikro turėjau fotografuotis su tai šalikėliais , bet pardavėja  buvo tuo labai pasipiktinusi ir neleido. In this picture I was supposed to pose with scarf’s which are behind me but the saleswoman was kind of angry and didnt let us do that.

Kembridžo universitetas apsimetu, kad esu labai protinga. Cambridge university. Pretending being very smart.

 Kai parduotuvės pradėjo užsidarinėti patraukėme apžiūrėti Kembridžo.  Jis man pasirodė labai jaukus ir mielas, miestas su nedideliu centru, jaukiomis gatvėmis, dideliais ir gražiais parkais, kuriuose netrūksta žmonių dienos metu ir tekančia upe.

Tiesa, turėjau šiek tiek keblumų suprasti britišką akcentą. Buvo keletas smagiu akimirkų kai gailiai žiūrėjau į draugę prašydama pagalbos, kad išverstų ką kalbą, nes aš tikrai nuoširdžiai nesupratau 😀 O ji tik smagiai kikeno iš manęs.

When first shops stared  to close we went for sightseeing. For me the city  looked very cosy and nice to be with not too big city centre, cosy streets, flowing river and big parks where all the time you can meet some people.


Honestly, I had some troubles in understanding British accent. There was funny moments when sellers told me something and I just could respond as I totally didn’t understand what they were talking. I was just looking to my friend with desperate look and she was only laughing. Thanks for help FRIEND!!!

Ankstus rytas keliamės, ruošiamės ilgai dviejų dienų kelionei į Londoną.

 Štai ir Londonas pasitinka mus visu savo dydžiu ir puikybe. Oras  nelabai dėkingas, bet kentėti galima. Patraukiame vaikščioti po miestą. Per visą dieną buvom belenkiek kartų pasiklydusios, nes iš pradžių neturėjome jokio žemėlapio. Rimantė man aprodė net tris Trafalgaro aikštes. Paskutinė buvo tikroji. Pamačiau per vieną dieną tikrai labai daug. Visur ėjome pėstute tad vakare kojos buvo sulindusios tikrąją to žodžio prasme šiknon. Gerai, kad turėjau tiek proto ir važiavau su senais pranešiotais batais, o ne su naujais. Bučiau buvusi be kojų.

London welcome us with its big size and glory. Weather wasn’t the best but was its possible to walk. During all day long we had been lost for many times as at the begging we didn’t have even the map. My best friend showed me three Trafalgar squares and finally the last one was the REAL ONE. During all the day we didint use any public transport everywhere we went by foot so in the end of the day the feet were stuck really deeep in the ass. I am happy that I didint wear my new shoes as probably I would be walking in streets bare foot. Around 17:00 o’clock  we come in Chinese district where were many chinese restaurants, so we found the most appropriate and went there for lunch. We had amazing delicious food with “SPECIAL CHINESE TEA”. Afterwards, we felt strange happiness feeling. I think that tea was really SPECIAL.

Tą dieną Londonas knibždėte knibždėjo ispanų. Pasipuošę vėliavomis ir visa kita atributika vaikščiojo visur. Tą vakarą vyko žaidynes Barcelona – Mančesteris. Kaip vėliau paaiškėjo Barselona laimėjo. Reikejo matyti kas dėjosi gatvėse naktį pagrindinėse aikštėse. Nesuskaičiuojama galybė ispanų šventė pergalę ir aišku visas pulkas policininkų “šventė” taip pat.

On that day London was full of Spanish people. They were wearing Spanish flags and other attribute related to Spain or Barcelona football team. In that night there was game Barcelona – Manchester. And of course Barcelona won! You should see how London main squares looked like after the match. Full of Spanish people singing shouting and drinking. And of course those main squares were full of police too ” celebrating” 😀

Apie 17.00h. atsidūrėme SOHO rajone. Tai keistas rajonėlis, kuriame gausu visko nuo gėjų ir lesbiečių barų iki kiniečių kvartalo. Nusprendėme, kad po visos dienos praleistos ant kojų metas  ko nors užkasti šilto ir ramiai pasėdėti pailsėti ir pagalvoti tolimesnius vakaro planus.  Išsirinkom jaukią viečikę, kur už fiksuotą sumą gali valfgyti kiek irdis telpa, na mes kaip tikros lietuvės tikrai nepasiskuklinom ir šlavėm į save tol kol vos viskas betilpo. Užsisakėme taip pat arbatinuką su  ” Įpatingosiois kiniečių arbatos”. Vėliau nusprendėme, kad kažko į tą arbatą buvo pridėta, nes nuotaika po visko pasidarė neapsakomai pakili. Ir mes nieko daugiau nebedarėme išėjusios kaip tik kikenom iš kiekvieno menkniekio. Bet kita vertus, Sotus žmogus – laimingas žmogus. 

Įpatingoji kinietiška arbata Special Chinese tea

Around 17.00. o’clock we appeared in SOHO district. It is very interesting area with lots of shops, bards and other things. You can find there everything from gay and lesbian bars to Chinese district. We decided that it was the time for us to have proper lunch to sit somewhere and relax a bit. We picked Chinese district and found  nice place for a fixed price You could eat as much as You want and of course according to Lithuanians mentality if You can eat for whatever it is put You just eat until You are totally full. We ordered also tea. And it was not just tea. It name was “ Special chinese tea” Afterwards when we left restaurant we decided that in that tea was something what made us to laugh from every single stupid joke and just we were in perfect good mood. But in another words Satiated human – happy human .

Nuotraukos apačioje tai tikroji Trafalgaro aikštė iki tol draugė jau buvo parodžiusi dvi “Trafalgaro aikštes”. Galų gale kai visai netikėtai atsidūrėme tikrojoje labai kikenau. Aikštėje šiek tiek kimarinom juokėmės, nes vis dar matyt kiniečių arbtėlė veikė. Laukėme kol diena prasisuks… NE ne nesėdėjome iki nakties, tiesiog ten buvo laikrodukas, kuris skaičiavo laiką iki Olimpinių žaidynių pradžios.

In the photos below is the real Trafalgar square. Before we found this, best’y already showed other two “real ones” . But finally when we found the sign Trafalgar square I was laughing so much from my small liar. We spent some time there just sitting, relaxing, chilling and again laughing from every small joke. Probably “special Chinese tea” was still working. And we were waiting till another day will come. No no we didn’t sat there till the midnight there was that clock which is counting the time till the beginning of the Olympic games.

Balerinos sugebėjimai Pretending being  ballerina

 Apatinė nuotrauka turi paslėptą mintį ir istoriją. Visai netoli mūsų fotografavosi toks vienas vyriškis, kuris buvo  nusimovęs megztuką ir likęs tik su apatine maike be rankovių. Jis buvo lengvai “užsikačialinęs” ir matyt norėjo parodyti ne tik, kur jis kleiauja, bet ką jis turi parodyti ir kitiems. Tad jo draugas jį fotografavo tokioje pozoje kaip dabar stovi Rimantė tik ,kad jis buvo pakėlęs abi rankas ir veide atsispindėjo pakankamai rimta išraiška. Mes tikrai nesijuokėm ne ne ne ir negalėjom šito nepakartoti.

Photo below has hidden thought. Close to us there were standing two men. One of them was without jumper only with T-shirt without sleeves his body was “slightly” trained and probably he wanted to show to others not only where he is travelling but also what he has too.. And he made this pose only using both hands with kind of serious face. We couldt laugh from him so we decided to have some fun with the same pose.

Yes, this picture looks beautiful and nice as I am smiling and nice view behind me but there is one BUT. Do you see where i am laying? there was no protection only slippery rail. So there was needed few ungainly movements and I would be enjoying water 

Mieloji geriausia draugė Sweet Besty

In the late evening we were kind of far from the city centre and as we were supposed to stay in one of  friend’s place for the night we were trying to go back to city as soon as  possible. We had been walking  and walking and walking again lost for a few times and we both were dreaming about cold and nice beer. We decided when we will find some nice looking pub we will go there for a beer. But unfortunately pubs are closing at 23.00 so there was not so much time left until 23.00 and we were desperately looking where to go. Finally, our friend wrote that we can come earlier to her job place and just wait till she finish. Our friend is working in some kind of hotel. We had one bottle of wine with us. So even if not  beer, then wine would be perfect for the nice ending of the day.While we had been walking to meeting point with a friend started to rain… At  the same time loads of Spanish people were outside shouting loudly totally messy time in the city. And we two pore  girls totally tired  waiting till our friend will pick up us from the meeting point. Finally, she came and brought us into one of the conference halls and brought for us cold and nice beer about which we were dreaming all the evening when we were walking and looking for the place. That was nice moment. We enjoyed beer in a nice place and through the window live music was playing. Totally awesome moment! Afterwards there was more drinks…

Kitą rytą atsikėlusios šiek tiek susivėlusios. Patraukėme  dar šiek tiek apžiūrėti miesto ir jau lėkėmė į Kembridžą atgal. Tiesa, dėl kažkokių nesklandumų metro vėlavo, o mes vėlavome į autobusą, tad tik išlipusios iš metro lėkėme kaip akis išdegusios, kad tik suspėti pagauti autobusą. Pagavome! Pakeliui į Kembridžą aš tiesiog nusmigau, jaučiausi dar daugiau serganti nei iki tol.

Next morning we woke and went to see some city and finally in the evening  went back to Cambridge. Of course, we almost caught the bus as metro was delayed and after the metro we had a nice marathon to the bus station for 10 min 😀 I was totally dead in the bus on the way and I felt even more sick than before.

May 30th. The day of Goodbye 


Na ką…išaušo taip nelaukta diena kai reikia dėtis tašę, kuri buvo visa persprogusi nuo pirkinių šiaip ne taip užtraukiu užtrauktuką. Kadangi mano skrydis buvo tik vakare nusprendėme dar šiek tiek pasivaikščioti aplink draugės gyvenamąjį plotą. Suradome gražias žirgų ganyklas. Priėjusi prie tvoros kalbinau arkliukus jie baugščiai į mane žiūrėjo. Vos tik prašnekau angliškai ir pradėjau iš naujo kalbinti lyg ir pasirodė, kad jie suprato PAGALIAU ir keli buvo priėję net arčiau. Įsilijus patraukėme namo.

Laikas išvykti, valau ašaras nuo veido….nesinori palikti tai kas taip miela širdžiai.

Well…the Day when i need to left came so fast! I was packing my stuff. The bag was so full of new goods that it didint want to close. I had flight in the evening so at day time we still had some spare time so we went around the place where my friend was living. We found some horses. I came closer to the fence and started talking with them in Lithuanian language they looked kind of scared and kept distance from me. And for fun I started talking in English and as miracle happened they came a bit closer with high interest to me.When it started raining more we came back home. 




Its time to leave, I am cleaning from my face tears….sad…I didn’t want to leave something what is so close to Your heart. 

Anglija! Aš dar sugrįšiu!

England I will come back!!!
